For the first time, Altai State University will take part in the All-Russian Ecological Festival in the field of ecology and sustainable development VuzEcoFest. The university will hold more than 30 environmental events: clean-ups, actions, open lectures, film screenings, thematic lessons in schools.

The series of events will begin with a brainstorming session. On April 18, AltSU Ecological Club "Under the Open Sky" will hold the Ecoquiz. Registration is currently underway. Teams will have to answer questions and complete a series of tasks on the topic of ecology.

On April 19, AltSU will host an open seminar on the circular (green) economy. Among the speakers were Candidate of Economic Sciences Valery Mishchenko, a geography student, the youngest deputy of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly Alexander Volobuev, representatives of the Rostelecom company and other people who are not indifferent to environmental problems in Altai Krai and in the world as a whole. Anyone can come to the seminar.

On April 23, a large action will be held in the Izumrudny Park, with which AltSU has been cooperating for several years. There you can enjoy some time with your family. Participants of the action will learn about birdwatching, how it is organized in different countries and will be taught how to watch birds, as amateur ornithologists do. Students will also give a short lecture about the trees of the park for everyone, and, given the weather is good enough, they will plant new plants. It will be interesting for children to take part in the competition of drawings on asphalt on environmental topics. Representatives of Sberbank and Barnaul Brewery will also take part in the action.

VuzEcoFest has been held since 2015 and unites universities throughout Russia. Last year, 65 universities from 33 cities took part in the festival, which together held more than 380 events: round tables, fairs, conferences, popular science lectures and master classes, hackathons, business games, tree planting campaigns, etc.
