Altai State University entered the top 20 in the reader activity rating of the Consortium of Network Electronic Libraries (NEL), the largest networking and knowledge cooperation project in Russian higher education uniting 386 educational organizations.
The creator of the project is the electronic library system (ELS) “Lan”, which is one of the first information systems. It has been providing access to electronic versions of books and periodicals to students and teachers of Altai State University since 2012. It also provides for gaining sustainability literacy and knowledge. Over 12 years, the university has been actively using the ELS “Lan” in the educational process, which has been repeatedly noted with gratitude from the management of the publishing house.
In 2020, Altai State University became a participating university in the Consortium of Network Electronic Libraries on the digital platform of the ELS “Lan”. Many university teachers posted their scientific works on this platform, which made it possible to receive free mutual access to electronic materials of other participants of the NEL Consortium. Interest in the university collection is constantly increasing on the part of project participants, which indicates the quality and relevance of the publications of our authors.
The Scientific Library at ASU expresses its deep gratitude to all participants in the project and invites new authors to fruitful cooperation.
