Studying Russian regional studies is connected with training specialists with knowledge of natural-geographical, economic, political, ethnic-religious and cultural peculiarities of Russian regions, who can work out effective managerial decisions to overcome social and economic disproportions in regions, formulate and implement the interests of regional communities in public policy, develop inter-regional and international cooperation.
