Chemistry | Bachelor's Degree Program | Altai State University
The program is aimed at training professionals capable of working and applying the acquired knowledge in the real sector of the economy, in the production of various types of products, as well as laboratories of chemical (and allied sciences) orientation. During the period of training students acquire the skills of planning and conducting experiments for solving both research and production tasks, the ability to obtain new substances and materials, knowledge and skills in the field of quality control of raw materials and manufactured products. During training on the program you will learn how to conduct safely chemical experiments, to analyze and interpret the obtained data.

What training you get
Conduct laboratory and analytical support of the production process and product quality control. Plan and conduct experiments to solve research problems in chemistry and related sciences (e.g., biochemistry, nanochemistry, chemical physics, biotechnology, etc.) and design research results. Use digital technology and research methods to solve chemistry problems. Collect, process, analyze information when solving problems in new developments, implementation of chemical products, and quality control of products.
Career opportunities and graduates
Graduates of the program will be able to realize themselves in the following professions: research chemist, expert chemist, chemical engineer, analytical chemist, chemical technologist, nanochemist, nanochemist, etc. Undergraduate chemists are able to find new uses for various substances, obtain new types of materials, which allows them to work and be in demand in chemical, refining, and pharmaceutical industries. The ability to conduct experiments in a chemical laboratory and determine product quality determines successful employment in the professions of analytical chemist or expert chemist in the laboratory at various enterprises, including biotechnology production. A specialist in this field is also needed in the field of forensics.
