- The basic components of the graduate program are a great volume of laboratory works, summer field trainings and educational-industrial practice in expeditions, working in the laboratories of the university and research organizations of Russia.
- Coursework and graduate qualification works are carried out in the following laboratories: biodiversity monitoring, vertebrate and invertebrate animals, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, plant and animal physiology, agrobiology and agroecology as well as in the Altai Center of Applied Biotechnology, the Engineering Center "Prombiotech", Laboratory of Bioengineering and other laboratories of the Botanical Garden.
