On 2 March 2016 Doctor of Biology Roman V. Yakovlev is going to deliver a report titled “Zoogeography of Altai (view of the problem in terms of new data on Lepidoptera)” on the 41st Entomological Interdisciplinary Seminar at A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution Problems under SB RAS in Moscow.

Roman V. Yakovlev has been invited to make a report on the seminar a long time ago, but the date and time of the seminar had not been set yet, as the scientist needed to align the trip to Moscow with his trip to Europe. After the seminar Yakovlev is going to visit Bavarian Entomological Congress in Munich, where he will discuss in detail his participation in a number of projects such as studying of connections between fauna of the Alps, Altai and the Arctic Region, and his inclusion into international research team set up to research fauna of Moint Cameroon and the Rwenzori Mountains (Central Africa).

“Currently ASU possesses significant staff potential in the area of Arthropoda different groups research. No other Siberian university can compete with ASU in this sphere. We have a great number of publications in journals indexed in international databases co-authored by scientists from Europe, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Argentina and other countries. It is a significant step towards participation of our researchers in the interesting work carried out by major international teams,” says R.V. Yakovlev.
