31 March 2016 Faculty of Biology

Students of Under the Open Sky ecological club visited Kislukhinski Reserve and talked to local forester Sergei N. Baidukov. The ecologists examined the reserve and specified the prospects for further joint environmental activities.
Ecological club members commented on their trip to the reserve.

Ekaterina Fedkevitch, chairman of Under the Open Sky ecological club:

“Our trip to Kislukhinski Reserve once again proves the serious commitment of our ecological club to help save the nature. This was our first visit and it turned out to be successful, as we managed to catch out such wonderful event as capercaillie lek. We will make more visits to Kislukhinski Reserve and will experience a lot more useful and interesting activities.”

Anastasia Titova, Faculty of Biology 2nd year student:

“This Sunday we visited Kislukhinski Reserve for the first time and watched capercaillie lek. The emotions we’ve received are beyond all words! In the foreseeable future our trips will become regular. We will be able to render assistance, which the reserve desperately needs.”

Kristina Abramova, ecological club member:

“To be honest, I did not know whether the trip would be worthwhile or not, but when the trip was over and we were going back home I changed my mind. Now I am sure that we the trip was not in vain. It turned out to be very interesting and educating. Sergey N. Baidukov told us about the reserve, about animals, birds and plants inhabiting its territory. We managed to see blackcock and capercaillie trail. I will visit the reserve again with great pleasure.”
