The foreign students watched the fulldome multimedia program called “The Cosmic Success” dedicated to the first heroic human steps in space research: from launching first space satellite to piloted flights to the Moon and automatic observation satellites.

On 12 April 1961 is the day of space era beginning: the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the first manned space flight aboard Vostok spacecraft. The flight along the Earth’s orbit took 2 hours. Since that day 12 April is considered to be a Russian national holiday – the Cosmonautics Day.
