On 18 April the opening ceremony of Youth Science Days forum spring session will take place at Altai State University. In the framework of the forum around 50 conferences, round tables, masterclasses, intellectual games are planned to be organized.

ASU science forum will be opened with Young Author School, which will be supervised by head of the Center for Research of Modern Eastern Countries’ General Problems under Oriental Studies Institute of Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations (Moscow), Candidate of History Sergey A. Panarin.

“Altai State University organizes the Young Author School for the third time in a row, and we are proud that the number of participants is growing each year,” noted chief engineer of the Department for Student Scientific and Research Work Organization Anastasia V. Cherenkova. “The classes at school will be held during the whole week. Its participants will learn about special aspects of academic writing, conduct error corrections in groups, attend open lectures on scientometrics, prepare articles for journals listed in international databases and so on.”

In the course of the opening ceremony, the delivery of certificates to ASU Academic Board scholarship holders and winners of travel grants competition will be held.

One of the most important events of the forum is the 3rd Regional Youth Conference “My Choice is Science!”, where over 2500 young scientists will participate in more than 143 workshops.

“The classical university has been holding the conference for more than 40 years already. First it was a site for young scientists, who make their first steps in science, to present their research results. We have kept and developed the idea, which is the reason why a lot of young people participate in the event. In other words, this is a site, where pupils and students can easily communicate, train their oratorical skills, present their research results that were achieved in the framework of making their course or other works,” explained Anastasia V. Cherenkova.

One more landmark event of the science forum spring session is the Siberian stage of Three Sciences Tournament, which will start on 26 April.

It remains to be added, that the ceremonial opening of Youth Science Days will be conducted on 18 April 2016 at 11:20 a.m. in campus L.
