Doctoral candidate from Kazakhstan does an internship at the Faculty of Biology

The internship of the doctoral candidate from L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University Narlygul Utarbaeva at ASU Faculty of Biology draws towards completion. Her scientific supervisor has been Doctor of Biology, Professor M.M. Silantyeva.

The doctoral candidate has carried out identification of woody plants of Aktobe Region in Kazakhstan, assessed the role of tree species composition in plantation, conducted the morphometric study, analyzed the range of woody plants resistant to unfavorable urban environment, estimated correlation correspondence between morphometric parameters of woody plants and level of ambient air pollution.

Moreover, in the course of research the scientist has identified the species, which are resistant to urban environment, and conducted ecological zoning for the purpose of using differential approach towards planting and reconstruction of greenery in Aktobe. Narlygul Utarbaeva has also prepared an article for publishing in Acta Biologica Sibirica journal listed in RSCI (Russia Science Citation Index).
