Iranian universities confirmed their willingness to extend international collaboration with ASU

Rector of Altai State University Sergey V. Zemlyukov received letters from representatives of two top universities of Iran – Shiraz University and Shahid Beheshti University (Tehran) that expressed their genuine interest in development of international collaboration with ASU.

Heads of Iranian universities’ departments responsible for international affairs development assured S.V. Zemlyukov of their intention to strengthen partnership with Altai State University. In particular, Director of the Department for International Academic Exchanges under Shahid Beheshti University, Professor A.S. Shirani wrote:

“Dear Professor S.V. Zemlyukov! Getting acquainted with you at the 2nd Rectors’ Forum for Top Iranian and Russian Universities has been a high privilege for me. I am glad that we managed to sign a memorandum on symbiotic relationship for the purpose of developing cooperation between our universities. I hope this memorandum will become the first step towards mutually beneficial relations.”

Head of the Department for International Relations at Shiraz University, Doctor Z. Azimifar noted:

“Dear Rector of Altai State University, Professor S.V. Zemlyukov! It was a great pleasure for me to meet you at the Russian-Iranian Summit in the University of Tehran. I would like to report that specialists of Shiraz University take strong interest in extending international cooperation with your university in different areas including fundamental sciences, liberal arts, etc. On behalf of Shiraz University President, Professor Ershad, I would like to invite you to visit Shiraz University and the wonderful city of Shiraz!”

S.V. Zemlyukov has in turn answered that Altai State University is ready to establish partner relations with the universities of Iran.
