ASU representative visited Tajik partners

On 27–29 October 2016 First Vice-Rector for Educational Work of Altai State University Evgeniy S. Anichkin made a business trip to Dushanbe (Tajikistan) for the purpose of participating in ceremonial events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (RTSU).

The event program involved International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Role of Russian-Tajik Slavonic University in Establishment and Development of Science and Innovative Education in Tajikistan”, gala concert and excursions.

Russian-Tajik Slavonic University has become one of the leading universities of Tajikistan since its establishment. 6,000 students are currently getting their education in the Russian language there. The university has formed extensive network of partners, collaborating with foreign educational establishments, including the long-standing relationship with Altai State University.

Tens of RTSU students have undergone training at Altai State University in the framework of academic mobility programs; ASU and RTSU carry out joint research on a regular basis; ASU employees often travel to Tajikistan for conducting professional orientation activities at RTSU or other sites.

The trip resulted in reaching an agreement on realization of two networking education master’s degree programs (in economics and jurisprudence), participation of ASU in interdisciplinary project “People Speaking in Politics” and organization of joint scientific conferences.
