We are busy with arranging a gala concert on the occasion of Chinese New Year, where our foreign and Russian students will present traditional Chinese plays and musical performances. We have also invited representatives of Altai Krai Wushu Federation, they will show a performance called “Dragon’s Song”. Moreover, we have prepared a surprise – the appearance of a famous Chinese martial artist Huo Yuanjia. The event program will be diverse. It will include different competitions, humoristic sketches, folk dances, choir and pop singing. Our students have even written a so-called rap song in Chinese,” said Head of the Department of Oriental Studies Dmitry A. Glazunov.

It remains to be added that Center of the Chinese Language and Culture under Novosibirsk National Research State University and Chinese noncommercial organizations of Altai Krai rendered their assistance in organization of the event.
