Altai State University wishes you a happy Russian Science Day

The tradition of honouring scientists on 8 February originated in 1724, when Russian Academy of Sciences was established by Peter the Great for the purpose of encouraging scholarly endeavors. Russian science has made a giant step forward since then. It is currently a powerful resource for economic transformations, essential component of the national wealth and major driving force of technological development.

It should be noted that Altai State University with its scientists, research teams and laboratories contribute massively in strengthening of Russian science in general and Altai science in particular. Thus, ASU scientists conduct research in such areas as agricultural biology, geo-ecological monitoring, biomedicine, rational environmental management and so on. Such organizations as Prombiotech Engineering Center, Scientific and Research Institute for Biological Medicine, Russian-American Anti-Cancer Center, Altai Center of Applied Biotechnology, Laboratory of Antiviral Agents, Asian Expert-Analytical Center of Ethnology and International Educational Cooperation, Center for Youth Innovative Creativity work on the premises of Altai State University for the good of society.

Generally, the year 2016 was quite breakthrough for Altai State University in terms of science. Success of ASU scientists is evidenced by great number of grants, rewards, certificates and medals. Some scientists have become leaders in publication activity.

We are sure that even more achievements and victories await Altai State University in the future. Altai State University has already proved that university science can be a base for social and economic development of the country or particular region. Our success is a fruit of hard cooperative work, patience and step-by-step progress.
