ASU Scientific Library organized a series of events for foreign students

A series of events for foreign students was held at Scientific Library of Altai State University in March 2017. Thus, ASU foreigners took part in a competition entitled “A Letter to My Russian Friend”.

ASU foreign students were supposed to write a story about Russia in the form of a letter. They described their life in Russia, the educational process, Altai State University, their lecturers, Barnaul, cultural events and amazing discoveries. Every letter was a unique story full of personal impressions, humour and even drawings.

Apart from Chinese students who traditionally participate in such events, the competition hosted a number of students of ASU Preparatory Department representing such countries as Poland, Italy, Venezuela, Syria, Costa Rica and so on. They did not only take part in a competition, but also learned new facts about the history and the art of writing of Ancient Rus and attended an exhibition of famous people’s letters.
