National Cuisine Festival is a regular event organized by the Faculty of Biology every year. Students of different nationalities cook and present their ethnic foods to each other. This year the guests tasted traditional Russian pancakes, Belarusian pampushki, beshbarmak, lamian and other dishes.

“National Cuisine Festival turned out very successful this year! The abundance of food was impressive. We tasted Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Kazakh, Uzbek, Chinese cuisine. All of the dishes were very delicious! We would like to express our gratitude to foreign and Russian students for participation. We will certainly organize the festival again next year,” noted Vice Dean for Extracurricular Work of the Faculty of Biology Tatiana V. Antonenko.

“Dormitory is a home of youth and studentship. In our case it is an international home. Students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries live in our dormitory. The cooking contest has already become traditional. I have been a chairman of student council and an organizer of this event for two years. It has been gaining popularity among students. Their responsible attitude towards cooking national dishes and preparing presentations impressed me. Such events bring us together and make us a big family. Everything was great and delicious!” said Diana Isayeva.

“I experienced only positive emotions. I did not expect to see such a variety of foods. The participants were very enthusiastic this time and presented a lot of tasty dishes. I liked Belarusian dishes with potato and wonderful beshbarmak. There were no special prizes at the contest, and I think it was right, because every dish deserved high praise,” commented Irina Rudenko.
