ASU will increase the salaries of all categories of employees

Altai State University in pursuance of the federal law “On the minimum wage” of May 1, 2018 increases the salaries of all categories of workers.

On May 1, according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin enters into force the amendment to the Federal Law of June 19, 2000 No. 82-FZ “On the Minimum Wage”, according to which the minimum wage is set at 11,163 rubles per month.

The leadership of Altai State University confirmed that the change in salaries from May 1, will affect all categories of employees of the university, with the sum of expenses for the annual wage fund in the amount of about 32.2 million rubles. At the same time, the change in salaries of teaching staff from May 1, will increase the annual payroll of teaching staff in the amount of about 20.2 million rubles.

To resolve all organizational issues related to the timely increase in salaries to employees of the AltSU, Rector S.V. On April 3-4 Zemlyukov will hold a series of working meetings in the relevant departments of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, where he will seek to allocate additional funds for the university.

It is to be recalled that from January 1, the salaries of employees of the Altai State University have already been increased to the minimum wage set by law. The changes affected about 600 people, with the sum of expenses for the annual wage fund in the amount of about 11 million rubles.

The average salary of teaching staff in AltGU in 2017 amounted to 43 thousand rubles. This is the highest level among Altai universities, which was achieved primarily due to the active participation of teachers of the AltSU in publishing and research activities, as well as the implementation of effective contracts. Thus, the university provides a good opportunity for teachers to earn not only by fulfilling their academic workload, but also by making personal contributions to the development of the university’s scientific activities. The increase in the incentive part of wages, including allowed AltSU to become one of the leading universities in the country. The average salary of teaching staff in January – February 2018 increased to 52.7 thousand rubles and amounted to 230% of the average for the region (in January – February 2017 wages amounted to 45.8 thousand rubles).
