Altai State University and the Government of the Altai Territory signed a cooperation agreement

Today, the governor of the Altai Territory, the Chairman of the Government of the Altai Territory, A.B. Karlin signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Altai Territory and the basic Altai State University on the development of human, scientific and innovative potential of the region within the framework of the strategic development program of the basic university.

The subject of the agreement is the improvement of the system of training, retraining, advanced training of specialists to meet the needs of the labor market of the Altai Territory; the development of scientific research, the strengthening of the intellectual and material and technical potential of the Altai Territory, the maximum convergence of the scientific and educational process with the production, entrepreneurial, innovative technical innovation activities; effective use of higher school opportunities for sociocultural transformations, the creation of an atmosphere of creativity and humanism, the strengthening of human values, the moral education of the population of the Altai Territory.

The Government of the Altai Territory, in accordance with the concluded agreement, undertakes to assist the supporting Altai State University in collecting information on the needs of the region in training, retraining, advanced training of specialists of a wide profile to create human resources focused on the needs of the modern economy in accordance with the regional development strategy, university interaction with employers, including in the framework of the implementation of the state program of the Altai Territory "Personnel for the Economy" for 2015 –2020 years. In addition, the regional government will promote the implementation of a continuous education model on the basis of  ASU based on the consolidation of secondary general, secondary vocational, higher and postgraduate education, as well as retraining and advanced training of teaching staff of educational organizations. A special place will be taken by the support of the AltSU in cooperation with the children's technopark “Kvantorium” of the Altai Territory in order to create an environment for the development of scientific and technical creativity of talented youth. Another major commitment of the Government of the Altai Territory to the regional base institution will be to promote the development of a network of university branches in the territory of the region, as well as the creation of scientific and educational centers on their basis, taking into account regional educational districts.

In turn, Altai State University undertakes to constantly improve the content and technology of continuing education, educational and methodological support of educational activities of the innovative type, to develop and implement in the educational activities practice-oriented programs of the magistracy, including technological entrepreneurship and technology project management. attraction of enterprises of the real sector of the economy of the Altai Territory. AltSU will also provide professional training for the Altai Territory, will open new specialties and areas of study in accordance with the priorities of the socio-economic development of the region and based on the identified needs of enterprises in the economic and social sphere of the Altai Territory. The agreement imposes on the university a responsible duty to retrain and improve the skills of specialists in multidisciplinary programs in order to form the human resources necessary for the region, including to provide small and medium-sized enterprises, government bodies, and local governments with personnel.

The priority applied areas of cooperation of Altai State University with the Government of the region are agrobiotechnology, biological medicine, analysis and forecasting of ethno-cultural, socio-economic, humanitarian and geopolitical processes in the cross-border space of Russia and Central Asia, socio-cultural service and tourism, geo-ecological monitoring and rational management. nature management, information technology, materials science and the creation of new materials with given and, finally, the study and preservation of biological diversity, i.e. inventory of biological diversity of South Siberia and Central Asia.

The agreement opens up new prospects for effective cooperation of the supporting university with the Government of the region in order to ensure its economic, personnel and socio-cultural development.
