Springer Publishing has included a monograph by scientists from Altai State University and Germany in the global Earth Sciences e-book collection

The authoritative international publishing house Springer, specializing in the publication of academic journals and books on natural science, has included the monographs by scientists from Altai State University and Germany in the SpringerLink Earth and Environmental Science ebook collection.

The electronic version of the monograph in English entitled "KULUNDA: Climate Smart Agriculture, South Siberian Agro-steppe as Pioneering Region for Sustainable Land Use" is the result of 5-year research work of scientists from Altai State University and Germany on the project "Kulunda" 2011-2016.

Scientists from the Faculties of Biology, Geography, Physics and Technology, Sociology, Mathematics and Information Technology, as well as the International Institute of Economics, Management and Information Systems of the flagship Altai State University took part in the work of the project and on the monograph.

It should be noted that the SpringerLink Earth and Environmental Science e-book collection brings together relevant work from authoritative authors around the world in scientific fields such as water management, ecology, geology, environmental biotechnology, and sustainable development.

Springer's editors clarify that the global readership is showing an active interest in the monographs by scientists from Altai State University and Germany:

“Since the publication of your book, its chapters have been downloaded a total of about 12,000 times. In particular, in 2019 there were 2477 downloads, in 2020 - 5461, and in 2021 more than 3460 downloads."

Currently, the Altai State University publishing house, as part of the strategic development program of Altai State University for 2021-2030 "Priority - 2030", is preparing for publication a Russian-language version of the monograph entitled "KULUNDA: Agriculture and Low-Emission Technologies for Sustainable Land Use". The work is devoted to the development and implementation of new effective land use technologies, implemented by scientists under the auspices of the strategic project of Altai State University "Innovative technological solutions and products for sustainable agricultural development – AgroBioTech."
