Students of Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of AltSU preserve climate

Everyone knows that it is necessary to save energy - electricity, heat. However, in this case, the motivation is of economic nature (money saving) or resource (we are depleting the planet's resources!). Meanwhile, the main goal of energy conservation is to preserve the global climate. Indeed, the dominant technologies for the production of electrical and thermal energy result in harmful emissions (greenhouse gases, radioactive pollution), which have already begun to undermine the ecological balance of our planet.

At the same time, some people think of environmental problems as distant and global, it is difficult for them to realize the impact of their behaviour. But in fact, we forget to turn off the lights and electrical appliances when we no longer need them, leave water running, leave the doors and vents open in the cold season. These are our bad habits. But they affect not us but our entire planet!

Students of Ecology Club of Rubtsovsk Institute (branch) of Altai State University, within the framework of the all-Russian Eco-quest for students "PROklimat", decided to explain the positive influence of reasonable energy consumption on the climate. They designed, manufactured, and placed an information stand about the negative impact of the energy sector on the climate and how to follow smart energy consumption.

But stands, as you know, attract attention only for some time. So, the students made and placed reminders in the right places that everyone can remember to turn off the light, the computer, the water tap, close windows and doors in the room in order to avoid heat loss.

Hopefully, the efforts of the students of Ecology Club help eliminate anti-environmental habits at our own university, which means that it can become even "greener"!
