Students from AltSU became the best in the business game of the Ministry of Economic Development of Altai Krai

Students from Altai State University won the first place in the business game on lean manufacturing, which was held as part of the national project "Labor Productivity". Seven universities of the region participated, as the Ministry of Economic Development of the region reports.
Participants in a real production process gained experience in applying lean manufacturing tools, and also saw how improvements influence the operational and economic performance of production. Based on the results of the training for the team of each university, the number of products manufactured in the shift, the profit received, the final unit cost and the difference in stocks at the beginning and end of the production shift were calculated.
“The reach of the student audience this year was 119 people – that is how many future graduates of educational institutions received initial theoretical knowledge and practical skills in applying lean technologies. In the current economic conditions, competencies in the field of increasing labor productivity give certain competitive advantages to employees in their professional activities,” said Sergey Korennov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Altai Krai, Head of the Innovative Development and Cluster Policy Department.
