Altai State University improved its positions and secured its 24th place in the media ranking of Russian universities, which is compiled by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The work of the university in Rutube has become especially successful. AltSU took 8th place in Russia. Recall that the video hosting account is maintained by the MediaHub media community team. Now the channel has 846 subscribers. A total of 325 videos scored over 11,000 views and 8,000 reactions.

“Altai State University has once again confirmed its high level in terms of organizing information work and interacting with the media,” commented Maxim Gerasimyuk, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Media Communications. “We consistently enter the top-25 of the ranking and increase our audience indicators on the website and in official publics. I would specially note the intermediate audience ranking in RuTube, which appeared for the first time in January. We knew that the audience of university video channels would be rated, and we did intensive work in advance to produce various content. The entire MediaHub team did a great job preparing and posting over 100 different videos on the channel in December-January. I invite everyone to become subscribers of the AltSU channel in RuTube. I note that we are currently negotiating with the leadership of the media platform on the implementation of joint projects for students and applicants.

Subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for new videos with university news, scientists' and students’ achievements!

M-RATE is the only official ranking of Russian universities. It is published monthly and takes into account the media activity of 229 universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science. Among the evaluation indicators is the effectiveness of the work of universities in the media space in three main areas: work with the media; with your own audience in groups and channels in all major social networks; with their own websites. A total of 57 metrics are used.

The high value of M-RATE is demonstrated by universities that harmoniously develop their own media teams. The ranking is compiled in such a way that small universities can compete with large federal universities. A team of analysts evaluates university performance on a monthly basis. They make sure that the ranking does not take into account any kind of anomalies associated with a mechanical set of indicators.
