Moscow hosted the full-time final of the All-Russian competition "Tourist code of my country, city, town, district - PRO-tourism". There, a student of the AltSU college Olga Izotova presented her project of an ethnic tour and took 1st place in the age category of 18-29 years.

In the final, 500 participants from 80 regions of the country competed for victory. The competition aims to support talented citizens who are actively involved in the development of domestic tourism in the municipalities of the Russian Federation.

"Mountains as a temple" is the project by Olga Izotova. This is an ethnic tour of the Altai Republic, five days of immersion in the original world of the indigenous population and pristine landscapes.

– In the beginning, it was difficult, we had to prepare a catchy text that would combine the description of objects, the value of travel, and emotions. At the same time, it was necessary to remember that we have only five minutes to defend the project. After that, I worked on creating a presentation with the main ideas so that they can be read on the slide at a glance, and the photographs reflected the natural beauty, rich culture and sacredness of the places. I had a video and slides with sound. In the end, I memorized the text, worked on the pitch of my voice, and gestures. This continued until I began to fit into the timing. I don’t know how Marina Alexandrovna didn’t go crazy listening to me and my text for a week. At the same time, my mother and I sewed a costume for the performance. The preparation time was unforgettable and somewhat challenging. But thanks to this, I was calm and confident when I spoke in front of the commission. The awards ceremony for the finalists was really exciting, especially it was when my nomination was announced. They announced the third place, the second... I stand and think, but where am I? And then they announced first place, and after that - my family name. It was unexpected, I did not believe it. I was really glad, because I understood that all my and not only my efforts were not in vain. Many people took part in my training: college teachers, friends, relatives. The first place at the competition in Moscow was taken not only by me, but by all the people who helped me and cheered for me. I am very grateful to them! - said Olga Izotova.

The winner was prepared by tourism teachers, leading experts in the region: Marina Indyukova (practicing guide in Altai with 13 years of experience), Tatyana Sazhaeva (ex-head of Altaitourcenter and marketer with 20 years of experience) and Valery Kopytsky (member of the board of directors of "Altai-Holding", businessman and Candidate of Economic Sciences).
