AltSU continues active work as part of the Consortium of Leading Russian Universities on the project "Resource Centers of Russian Education Abroad"
Altai State University continues to work with schoolchildren and teachers as part of the Resource Centers Abroad program. Last week, the program curator Elena Shapetko, an associate professor of the Department of Zoology and Physiology at the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology, visited Moscow International School in Antalya (Republic of Turkey).
During Elena Shapetko’s visit, classes were held with schoolchildren on topical issues of modern biological science and consultations on preparation for the final certification with 11-graders. The children were able not only to listen to lectures, but also take part in practical exercises, practice in solving biological problems and delve into the problems of gender genetics.
In addition, there was a discussion with teachers of modern methodological methods in teaching biology and the possibilities of using the educational resources of the Open University (AltSU), as well as Russian educational content in the preparation of schoolchildren abroad. Biology teachers were provided with methodological materials and thematic videos prepared by the teachers of the Institute.
At the meeting with high school students, the curator of the program Elena Shapetko spoke about the institutes and research centers of Altai State University, the benefits of studying at this university, as well as the conditions for entering Altai State University in 2023.
