A scientific seminar on green economy was held at AltSU

On April 19, a scientific seminar "Circular (green) economy" was held at the university. It became one of the events of the All-Russian Student Festival "VuzEcoFest" at Altai State University.

Sustainable development is the term which is increasingly popular in all media, it is used not only by environmentalists, but also by economists, power engineers, biologists, geographers and many others. The problem of sustainable development of Russia and Altai Krai, in particular, was discussed at the recent scientific seminar.

Tatyana Antonenko, Candidate of Biological Sciences, gave an introductory speech on the problem of the circular economy. Valery Mishchenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, made the report "Economic and environmental situation in Altai Krai and its problems." A geography student, the youngest deputy of the Altai Regional Legislative Assembly Alexander Volobuev spoke about the concept of sustainable development and its goals. Tatiana Kornievskaya, Candidate of Biological Sciences, made a report on the topic “Nature-like technologies for the restoration of degraded pastures”, and Vladislav Titov, deputy chief engineer for power supply at OOO “Nortek”, spoke about real solutions for energy conservation.
