How can different nationalities and peoples live on the same territory in the modern world?

These issues became the main topic of the International Scientific Forum, which today began in the flagship university.

Vladislav Tanaev, correspondent:

Forum "Integration Processes in the Ethnocultural Sphere" sounds too scientific. So now I will try to explain everything. Firstly, the flagship university annually holds conferences dedicated to this topic. And the topic, by the way, is very important and concerns not only the peoples and nationalities of the region, but also the nearest regions and even the peoples of the entire Eurasian space. To cover all this, the forum included two conferences. The first is at the regional level. It will discuss the possibilities of resolving disputes and conflicts of peoples and nationalities of different regions. The topic is actually very important, including for Altai Krai.

Yuri Proskurin, Head of the Department of the Administration of the Governor and Government of Altai Krai for Domestic Policy:

Altai Krai is a multinational territory. We have more than 140 nations and nationalities. Therefore, it is very important for us to discuss all issues related to cohabitation in such a large territory as Altai Krai. The second is an international conference. It will consider reports on how different nationalities live in the territory of both the region and Russia, as well as on how to preserve the cultures of different nationalities. At this conference, Russian Germans, Belarusians, Ukrainians, and many other nationalities living in the region will present their works.

Sergey Bocharov, Rector of the flagship Altai State University:

If we talk about today's event, we should also mention that it is timed to the Day of National Unity. And which will take place tomorrow. Hosting this event, we need to show that our peoples can live in good-neighborliness in peace and harmony. Altai State University is traditionally a platform for such ethnic conferences. Why are they so important? The reason is that representatives of different cultures and different nations and nationalities can get together in one conference room, or, as today, online can join the conference and discuss pressing problems and even jointly find solutions.
