2 October 2017 Faculty of Law

In summer 2017 several students of the Faculty of Law (Olga Kuzevanova, Anna Selina, Valeria Novoselova, Eugenia Beich) received a grant for undergoing courses on the German language in Germany.

On 3–31 August 2017 Anna Selina and Olga Kuzevanova attended course in Aachen.

Olga Kuzevanova:

“I received a lot of positive impressions. Friendly atmosphere prevailed during the classes. Lecturers explained us grammar in a simple way. The educational process itself was in a form of games, lively communication, listening comprehension. We had classes from 8:00 till 12:00. On weekends we had an opportunity to travel and visit other European cities. Our program included a trip to Monschau (25 kilometers from Aachen) and a trip to boundary intersection between 3 countries (5 kilometers from Aachen). I recommend participating in international educational programs to those who study foreign languages and want to achieve success. Don’t be afraid of losing or rejections.”

Valeria Novoselova and Eugenia Beich resided in Passau from August 14 to September 9.

Valeria Novoselova:

“The trip turned out wonderful and I liked everything very much! The most interesting part was an opportunity to communicate with people from different countries: China, Ukraine, Cuba, the United States, and so on. The most memorable was the extracurricular program. For example, we took a walk to Austria on foot, as the city we lived in was located right at the border. It was also interesting to participate in a holiday, which was similar to famous Octoberfest. I should note that summer courses really banded us together and we continue to communicate with our new friends from all over the world.”

Valeria also wishes those, who study foreign languages and want to participate in similar courses, to stay strong in the pursuit of their goals: “It you have a dream, strain after it!”

Faculty of Law students express their gratitude to Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages in Economics and Law A.V. Korneeva and Dean of the Faculty of Law N.V. Karlova for helping to organize the trip.

DAAD fund provides scholarships aimed at participation in linguistic, cross-cultural and profession-oriented language courses offered by state universities of Germany or their language schools.
