Scientists from the Department of Recreational Geography, Service, Tourism and Hospitality of the Institute of Geography and the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Institute of Humanities of Altai State University have implemented a joint research project aimed to develop a concept for the activity of the Alpine Village health and rehabilitation complex.

The concept is based on an analysis of the best practices of health and rehabilitation centers. In particular, scientists in the course of their research work formed a database of the best Russian and foreign practices with proven effectiveness in the field of health improvement and rehabilitation. As a result of the analysis of the collected data, a list of the most popular rehabilitation services was compiled, and a variant of the formation of the most optimal and ergonomic infrastructure of the complex was proposed.

The project leaders are Head of the Department of Recreational Geography, Service, Tourism and Hospitality of the Institute of Geography Natalya Bitter and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology of the Institute of Humanities Anna Kuzmina.

Scientists note that the project is topical. The need to create a rehabilitation and health center is due to the fact that in recent decades the number of people with drug, alcohol and other types of addictions has been growing, as well as the high need to provide qualified assistance to such people.

At the same time, according to researchers, the effectiveness of rehabilitation increases when relatives of addicts take an active part in the healing process and psychotherapy. Therefore, the concept of the Alpine Village complex includes two main areas of activity: rehabilitation and health.

In general, the concept of the health-improving and rehabilitation complex "Alpine Village" provides for a systematic approach to solving rehabilitation problems.

The scientific work was carried out within the framework of the strategic project "Health saving of the population: effective technologies and products in the health-improving and resort sphere of the Altai region", implemented under the Priority 2030 program.
