Three scientific journals of Altai State University included in the largest international database DOAJ
Scientific publications of Altai State University “Theory and Practice of Archaeological Research”, “Economics Profession Business,” and “Russian-Asian Legal Journal” have been accepted into the largest international database of open access journals Directory of Open Access Journals, DOAJ – directory (catalog) of open access journals.
A major contribution to this achievement was made by the editors-in-chief Professor Alexey Tishkin, Professor Evgeniy Anichkin, Professor Vitaly Mishchenko, Director of the Office for the Development of Publication Activities, Professor Alexander Matsyura and the publishing editors of the journals Tatyana Parshikova, Tatyana Poltavets, and Nadezhda Tydykova, associate professor.
The Directory of Open Access Journals is a prominent database of open access journals that was established in 2003 at Lund University, Sweden. It is distinguished by strict criteria for selecting journals and meticulous verification of data submitted for consideration.
DOAJ plays a crucial role in promoting and increasing the accessibility of scientific journals that publish their materials in the open access, which leads to an increase in their popularity and citation. DOAJ features a wide array of new things in scientific periodicals that are open access and use certain measures to ensure the quality of their content. A strict selection of journal applications for the database is ensured by a team of experts and editors and is recognized by the largest scientometric databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science. Indexing in DOAJ is also displayed on the journal description page on the Elibrary.ru portal.
– The inclusion of Altai State University journals into DOAJ signifies obtaining a new platform for disseminating the scientific content of our publications and provides new opportunities to enhance article citations and promote our authors. Currently, the Directory of Open Access Journals contains about 19 thousand journals from 129 countries. The database contains metadata of more than 8 million articles, this number is constantly increasing, and we are pleased to note that Altai State University is making its contribution to filling it, as was noted in the office for the development of publication activities of the university.
