Director of the Research Center for Turkic and Altaic Studies “The Greater Altai”, Professor Yulia Lysenko conducted a series of lectures both in-person and remotely for history students at Pavlodar State Pedagogical University named after Alkey Margulan, focusing on the theme “Socio-political thought of the countries of the East.” The course of lectures, part of the academic mobility program, aims to expand cooperation between universities.

Throughout her lectures, Yulia Lysenko delved into the evolution of socio-political ideologies in the countries of the East, including China, Japan, India, and the countries of Central Asia and the Middle East. The course of lectures was structured along a chronological framework; exploring the historical pgression of socio-political thought from ancient times through the Middle Ages to the modern and contemporary times.

This event was the first experience of cooperation between Altai State University and Pavlodar State Pedagogical University named after Alkeia Margulan.

Additionally, Yulia Lysenko, as the international co-director of the educational program “history” of Margulan University, provided consultations to undergraduates on scientific research topics. Together with doctoral student Arman Umarov, who completed a month-long internship at the Department of Oriental Studies of Altai State University in March, they collaborated on structuring his dissertation.

At a meeting with the leadership of Margulan University, they reached agreements on student participation in the upcoming International Summer School of Turkic Studies, scheduled to take place in Altai during the summer of 2024 as part of the project “Turkic-Mongolian world of the Greater Altai: unity and diversity in history and modernity”, implemented by the Research Center for Altaic and Turkic Studies "The Greater Altai."
