Altai State University entered the TOP-25 of the leading universities in Russia in the international QS University Rankings: EECA 2021
The flagship Altai State University occupies the 117th position in the overall ranking (+25 positions by 2019) and the 25th among Russian universities. Improving its position in this ranking annually, AltSU for the first time this year has been included in the 30% of the best universities in "Developing Europe and Central Asia."
In the ranking, Altai State University is placed among the participants of the 5-100 federal project of global competitiveness - the South Ural National Research University and the Siberian Federal University, ahead of 12 national research and 5 federal universities in Russia.
The expert assessment is based on the results of surveys of the academic and business communities representatives. In total, the ranking assesses 10 criteria: academic reputation, reputation among employers, the ratio of academic staff and students, the number of publications per employee, international scientific relations, the university's influence on the Internet, the proportion of employees with a PhD degree, the number of citations per article, and the proportion of foreign employees and the proportion of foreign students.
QS annually publishes lists of the best higher education institutions, both all over the world and individual countries and economic regions. QS rankings are recognized as some of the most influential in the world, along with the Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
