75 foreign undergraduates from Asian and African countries to study in five international master's programs of the Center for Altaistic and Turkic Studies "The Greater Altai"

The programs cover natural sciences, social and humanitarian profiles and are developed by joint efforts of scientists from Altai State University, leading universities of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

The most popular direction of the Master's program is “Cross-border trade in Central Asia: management and marketing” - 29 people have enrolled in it, including 24 international students. 14 students from China, 3 - from Tajikistan, 4 - from Kazakhstan, 1 - from Mongolia, 1 - from Afghanistan, 1 - from the Union of the Comoros, and 5 students from Russia are going to study in this direction.

The second Master's degree program, created under the auspices of “The Greater Altai" - "Ethnics of the Turkic-Mongolian world in modern art practices," 20 people have enrolled in it: 7 citizens from Kyrgyzstan, 6 – from Kazakhstan, 4 from China, and 5 citizens of Russia.

18 Master’s degree students have enrolled in the program "Spatial analytics and environmental management in Central Asia", 16 people in the program "Digital technologies for data analysis for sustainable development of Central Asia," and 12 people - "Social media space of the Greater Altai".

According to Sergei Zemlyukov, President of Altai State University, Head of REC of Altaistics and Turkology "The Greater Altai", the Master's degree programs on the subject of the Greater Altai are truly unique.

“They take into account intercultural specifics, they are based on a comprehensive and multifaceted study of Central Asia, therefore,  graduates are in demand specialists not only in Russia but also in the world labor market,” comments Sergei Zemlyukov.
