One of the founders of ASU Anti-Cancer Center Professor Stephen Johnston was named Researcher of the Year

Famous American scientist, specialist in early immunological detection and preventive treatment of cancer, immunologist, professor of Arizona State University (USA) Stephen Johnston was granted with the Researcher of the Year award.

Arizona Bioindustry Association honors the scientists, who make major contributions to the development of science, with this award. Association’s official web-site says that Professor Johnston has become Arizona Bioscience Researcher of the Year. He will receive his award at the celebration ceremony on 21 September 2016.

Professor Johnston is one of the founders of Russian-American Anti-Cancer Center, which has been working on the premises of Altai State University for 3 years. The American scientists has been collaborating with ASU and has taken part in different scientific forums organized by the classical university more than once.

It is to be reminded that in June 2013 the foundation memorandum on establishment of Russian-American Anti-Cancer Center on the premises of Altai State University was signed. Since then Arizona State University scientists on the American side and scientists of Altai State University, Altai State Medical University, Nadezhda Regional Cancer Center and SB RAS Institute for Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine on the Russian side have participating in the Center’s work.
