First summer specialized schools were held as part of the Smart Holidays with AltSU project

From June 8 to 19, teachers and students of the Institute of Arts and Design successfully conducted classes on the StartCamp online shift platform in the Video Blogging anti-school block. Together with the studio Dyshes production, the program "Video blogging from scratch!" was developed. In this video, the children learned what video blogging is, how to create your own video blog, secrets in video blogging. And also they presented an example of a video blog from the students of the AltSU school Unicum.

From June 15 to June 20, a summer profile session “School of GEO” took place on an open educational portal for students of grades 6-8 from schools in the Altai Territory. Teachers from the Institute of Geography conducted classes in physical and recreational geography, tourism and landscape science.

Students of the Institute of History and International Relations of the Foreign Regional Studies direction under the guidance of teachers on June 25-26 held a shift for 10th grade students "Chinese for Beginners". An online master class in calligraphy was held, in which the participants learned the basics of the Chinese language, the writing of hieroglyphs, and interesting features of speech. Games and quizzes introduced the children to Chinese culture and traditions, everyday life and holidays, the modern education system in China and the relationship between Russian and Chinese schoolchildren and students.

The Smart Holidays with Altai State University project is gaining momentum, and in the following summer months, Altai Krai schoolchildren will have the opportunity to take part in the summer specialized shifts.

• From July 5, the IV Summer School of Excellence will start working in the online format in the fields of mathematics and computer science with the teachers of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies. The classes are planned to immerse students in the fascinating world of non-school mathematics and programming. In addition to lectures and seminars, there will be master classes on the use of modern information technologies in the preparation for the State Final Assessment, master classes on DataScience, project work of students, a teleconference, and a virtual quest.  • From July 6, the Creative Art Session with the AltSU School Unicum will take place in an online format in three age groups: preschoolers, junior schoolchildren, senior schoolchildren. The art session was prepared by the teachers of the Institute of Arts and Design, during which children will learn about the world of computer graphics and the creation of images in graphic editors.  • On August 4–6, a profile session "Travel to the world of Altai State University" will take place for the winners of Olympiads.

• On August 10-11, a full-time school "In Search of Artificial Intelligence" will be held for students in grades 8-10 from the teachers of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technology.
