Searching group “Victory” of the ASU College held a round table “The right to historical heritage as the most important human right: implementation issues”

On January 15, on the opening day of the Public Support Headquarters of Altai Krai, fighters of the searching group “Victory” of the ASU College with its leader Inna Tusheva and the Commissioner for Human Rights in Altai Krai Anton Vasiliev held a round table on the topic “The right to historical heritage as the most important of human rights: implementation issues."

The event was attended by representatives of veteran organizations of the Office of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for Altai Krai, bodies of internal affairs and internal troops, military personnel of a military unit (Topchikha, Altai Krai), employees of the Office of the Federal Bailiff Service for Altai Krai, students and teachers of schools from Barnaul, Topchikhinsky, Kalmansky and Troitsky districts of Altai Krai, students of the Altai State University College and the Law Institute of Altai State University.

Special guests were Andrei Kolomiets, Vice-Rector for Regional Healthcare Development of the Altai State Medical University, a military surgeon, as well as relatives of Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Koshelev, a participant in the Great Patriotic War who took part in planting fir trees on Alley of Heroes (Victory Park) in Barnaul in 1965.

More than 50 round table participants discussed issues related to the work to perpetuate the memory of soldiers in Altai Krai and the preservation of historical heritage, the exercise of the right to historical heritage by veterans of state security services and internal affairs agencies, the heroic and patriotic work of employees of the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service for Altai Krai among young people, the problem of realizing the right to historical heritage using the example of the Alley of Heroes (Victory Park) in Barnaul.

On the same day, relatives of Heroes of the Soviet Union I.Koshelev and A.Oleinikov were invited to be part of the people's diplomatic initiative involved in the fraternization of the cities of Zelenogradsk in Kaliningrad Oblast, Rubtsovsk in Altai Krai, Gudermes of the Republic of Chechnya and Oktyabrsky in Volgograd Oblast as a sign of perpetuating the exploits of the Altai front-line soldiers.

Nikita Vetrov, an 8th grade student at the Proletarskaya School in the Troitsky District of Altai Krai, took part in the round table. Since childhood, he dreamed of studying at the Altai boarding school with initial flight training named after. K.G. Pavlyukova. The organizers of the event introduced the young man to teachers and students of the school. They exchanged contacts.

Based on the results of the round table, the participants decided to improve interdepartmental interaction between government bodies, local governments and educational organizations on the implementation of the human right to historical heritage, as well as to continue fruitful work to perpetuate the memory of soldiers in Altai Krai, preserve historical heritage and implement heroic-patriotic education of youth.
