The folk amateur group of Altai Krai, the theater workshop “Homo Artisticus”, continued its anniversary season with the play “The Blizzard” on the stage of Altai State Theater for Children and Youth named after V.S. Zolotukhin.

A romantic comedy based on the story “The Blizzard” by A.S. Pushkin from the cycle of “The Belkin Tales” was presented to a large audience on November 20 at the leading venue of the city and region – Altai Youth Theater – as part of the regional theater festival “Bow”.

“The Blizzard” was directed by Tatyana Stibunova, Theater and Artistic Director of “Homo Artisticus”:

“The literary basis of the performance is the immortal classic, “The Blizzard” from the cycle of “The Belkin Tales” by A.S. Pushkin. The story, created several centuries ago, is still relevant today: teenagers have always made mistakes because of love. That is why the story “The Blizzard” is included in the school literature curriculum – the problems of the characters are close and understandable to modern boys and girls.”

After the performance, Tatyana Antonenko, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Additional Education of Altai State University, addressed with words of greetings and congratulations.

Letters of gratitude from the Ministry of Culture of Altai Krai for their contribution to the development of the amateur theater movement in Altai Krai were awarded to Kirill Skobelin, Head of the theater workshop “Homo Artisticus”, and Tatyana Stibunova, Artistic Director of the workshop.

The acknowledgement from the Rector of ASU for many years of work, high professionalism, great personal contribution to the development of student creativity and in connection with the 10th anniversary of the Altai amateur folk group of the theater workshop "Homo Artisticus" was awarded to: Aselia Bakumbaeva, teacher of the theater workshop "Homo Artisticus" and Elena Dryuk, Director of the theater workshop "Homo Artisticus".

The acknowledgement from the Rector of AltSU was also given to the team's elders: Anzhelika Kogan, Maria Dyusembaeva, Erlan Dyusembaev and Egor Zavadsky, a teacher of the theater workshop.

“It is symbolic and very joyful that the first performance of “Homo Artisticus” at a large professional theater venue in the city coincided with our anniversary. Of course, it was an indescribable feeling when the hall was full at the Youth Theater for our performance as part of the opening of the regional theater festival “Bow”. And the grateful, bated breath of the audience during this hour, and then the long applause – this is the best gift for us,” said Kirill Skobelin.
