Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Institute of Law of Altai State University, Chairman of the Public Monitoring Commission of the Altai Territory, Doctor of Law Alexei Detkov made a report and presented the textbook "Penitentiary Conflictology", published at Altai State University, at the international "St. Petersburg Penitentiary Conferences".
The publication discusses the theoretical and practical problems of conflicts in the penitentiary system. Professor Aleksey Detkov teaches a course of the same name at Altai State University.
May 17 to 19, a complex of international scientific and practical conferences "St. Petersburg Penitentiary Conferences" was held at the St. Petersburg University of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. Modern problems of enforcement of criminal penalties and observance of the rights of convicts in Russia and abroad were discussed. The complex of scientific events brought together leading Russian scientists and specialists working in the field of enforcement of sentences, as well as representatives of foreign countries. Representatives of 19 regions of Russia took part, including employees of the office of Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, educational organizations and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, experts, public figures and scientists in the field of criminology and penitentiary law.
