Nadezhda Zelenaya was born in 1993 in the city of Novoaltaisk, where in 2008 she entered the Novoaltaysk State Art School in the painting department and graduated with honors in 2013. In the same year she entered the Institute of Arts of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (bachelor's degree) and finished it with honors. In 2018, she continued her studies in the master's program at the same university and successfully graduated in 2021, receiving a diploma with honors.

She is actively involved in creative activities, which is confirmed by her regular participation in various exhibitions, competitions, festivals and plein airs at various levels.

“The paintings of Nadezhda Zelenaya presented at our exhibition are light, bright and very positive. Here, a very rare everyday genre for contemporary artists prevails, which Nadezhda treats with special love, and this is very clearly visible in the colors and mood of the paintings. Her works also very clearly show a love for detail, a love for objects, which gives them a special flavor,” noted Irina Chernyaeva, Head of the Department of Arts at the Institute of Humanities of ASU, Candidate of Art Criticism, an associate professor.

Nadezhda thanked the Institute of Humanities of ASU for the opportunity to exhibit her paintings in the Universum gallery, and noted that she was glad for the new stage of cooperation with the university, where there are many young, aspiring artists, who can be inspired by her works.

“The exhibition is titled “Traveling” because, probably, only when traveling a person receives some new emotions from this world, a new impetus for creativity. Therefore, the exhibition presented in the Altai State University gallery is my message of goodness to you all! Travel! Love the world and be creative!” Nadezhda Zelenaya emphasized, revealing the ideological meaning of the exhibition.

Nadezhda Zelenaya has been teaching since 2014, and now works at the Novoaltaysk State Art School as a teacher of special disciplines (drawing, painting, and easel composition), so among the guests at the opening of the exhibition were her students, who congratulated the master on the excellent exhibition.

As part of the personal exhibition, Nadezhda Zelenaya’s works of recent years are presented, made both from life and based on sketch impressions from creative plein air trips around Russia: Altai Krai, the Altai Republic, Baikal, Rostov the Great, as well as Turkey.
