AltSU College held a round table "Financial fraud"

On March 12, at the AltSU College, the Department of Economics and Information Technology, as part of the activities of the Financier Club, a round table was held on "Fraud in the financial sphere".

The round table brought together college students of the Banking specialty, students of the Altai Industrial and Economic College with a specialization in Finance and Insurance, and teachers.

The experts invited to the event were Mikhail Metelev, chief eExpert of the Security and Information Protection Department, and Vladimir Galenko, chief economist of the Altai Krai Division of the Siberian Main Directorate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The following topics were discussed:

• Rosfinmonitoring activities in the field of counteracting the “legalization” of ill-gotten gains

• activities of financial pyramids

• insurance fraud

• Internet fraud

• credit card fraud

The roundtable participants came to the general conclusion that fraud is the most common crime in the financial sector, and more and more varieties appear every day.

Everyone can become a victim of fraud, so you need to know the most common methods of fraud used by cybercriminals. Forewarned is forearmed.
