Altai State University developed and implemented new professional training programs in 2025. These programs were created at the request of Altai Krai enterprises under the federal project "Active Measures to Promote Employment," which is part of the national project "Personnel."

For instance, Altai State University introduced a professional training program titled "Chemical Analysis Laboratory Assistant," for the Altai Plavych Processed Cheese Plant. The program was successfully delivered at the Altai State University College. Seventeen participants, including employees of Plavych LLC and the plant's partners, completed the course. All of them highlighted the benefits of this continuing education program: it targeted specific challenges within the dairy industry, and provided training was both comfortable and engaging.

A Profession Built on Practice

The Chemical Analysis Laboratory Assistant continuing education program trains specialists capable of addressing the full spectrum of laboratory challenges in modern food production. Graduates acquire essential competencies, including:

• Organizing and conducting laboratory quality and safety controls of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods during the production of mass-produced food products and specialized food products;

• Performing comprehensive laboratory testing of the quality and safety characteristics of raw material samples;

• Strictly adhering to safety requirements in chemical and microbiological laboratory environments;

• Understanding regulatory legal acts and technical documentation governing industry practices;

• Executing a full range of microbiological and chemical-bacteriological analyses of product components.

The program is available in both full-time and part-time formats, enabling students to combine studies with employment. It covers five key modules that establish the foundation of the profession:

• Biochemistry and microbiology of milk - fundamental principles;

• Product safety and sanitary control — practical guidelines;

• Current industry legislation — legal framework;

• General dairy technology — process understanding;

• Methods for managing production shift operations — theoretical foundations.

This comprehensive approach equips students with professional skills essential for effective performance in food production facilities.

Formula for Success: Experts + Technology

The program's strength comes from the synergy of academic knowledge and practical industrial experience. The theoretical foundation is delivered by faculty from the Altai State University College, while the practical training is overseen by industry professionals. The participants expressed special gratitude to Natalia Zolotukhina, Deputy Director of Production at Lyubava LLC and Candidate of Technical Sciences:

"I would like to express my special thanks to the leading instructor, Natalia Zolotukhina. Her professionalism and clear teaching helped me gain new competencies," comments Ekaterina, a program participant.

The technological component is equally important. Practical sessions are held in the advanced Chemical Technologies laboratory at the Altai State University Institute of Chemistry and Chemical-Pharmaceutical Technologies, established with the support from industrial partners.

"We began active collaboration with dairy industry companies in 2023, when we launched the first programs under the federal project 'Employment Promotion.' We are very pleased to maintain the high quality of our educational services and currently train not only students but also specialists from leading food industry companies in the region," notes Anna Prasolova, Director of the Altai State University College.

Students learn theory in the modern, hybrid learning environment of Aktru, which effectively combines online and offline formats, while prompt methodological support enables students to effectively overcome any challenges they may face.

"I was very pleased with the quality of the teaching. All courses were available on the learning platform 24/7. Webinars were held daily, allowing for in-depth study of theory and practical application of knowledge. I would also like to thank Yulia Kirakosyan, who was my assistant on all issues that arose. She responded promptly to requests, helped me navigate difficulties, and maintained my interest in learning," comments graduate Ekaterina.

It is notable that in 2023, Altai State University was recognized as a leader in employing hybrid learning systems in Russia following the University Consortium of Big Data Researchers forum.
