Altai State University Rector Sergey Bocharov shared his reflections on the outcomes of his working trip to Shanghai on his Telegram channel.
Yulia Lysenko noted:
"The future development of our research and educational center depends on expanding our network of partners. We are particularly committed to collaborating with universities in China and Mongolia, which enables us to unite our efforts in studying the historical and cultural heritage of the Greater Altai. The signing of the cooperation agreement with Shanghai International Studies University paves the way for deeper integration of scholars and researchers into international projects focused on Altaic and Turkic studies.
This is also particularly significant in the context of China's ongoing Belt and Road Initiative, where humanities scholars are making a significant contribution to the study of the Great Silk Road and promoting contacts between East and West. The Greater Altai spans a vast region across China and Mongolia, rich in numerous archaeological sites. Joint research is crucial for reconstructing a comprehensive history of Turkic civilization."
This visit to Shanghai marked significant milestone for Altai State University's international cooperation, showcasing the valuable contribution of Russian education to global research and international cooperation.
