On August 21, the Siberia Concert Hall hosted the award ceremony for the winners and prize recipients of the annual competition "The Best Socially Responsible Employer of the Year – 2025." Altai State University received a diploma for 2nd place in the category "For the Employment of Young People in Non-Production Organizations."

The regional competition "The Best Socially Responsible Employer of the Year" was held for the 16th time. A total of 83 employers from across the region submitted 113 applications. Winners were announced in 19 categories, up from 13 the previous year. Altai State University was among the 59 laureates recognized.

In a solemn ceremony, the Minister of Economic Development of Altai Krai, Evgeny Deshevykh, presented a diploma to the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Development, Roman Raikin.

Our university has designed and is currently implementing a program to support young scientists, overseen by the Center for Scientific Careers, which assists them in realizing their potential and establishing themselves in the scientific community. Accordingly, Altai State University organizes a competition for young scientific and pedagogical employees (SPE). Young researchers also receive partial reimbursement of expenses related to defending their dissertations, as well as financial awards upon the successful defense of a candidate’s or doctoral dissertation. They are eligible to apply for internal university grants and for a rector’s grant to support postgraduate studies.

Academic internships at external educational and research institutions play a crucial role at the university, enabling young scientists to exchange expertise and broaden the scope of their knowledge.

In addition, all categories of employees are entitled to improve their qualifications at the employer’s expense.

The collective agreement guarantees young employees various social benefits: annual paid leave at their discretion, scheduled at a convenient time for parents or guardians of a disabled child; three calendar days of paid leave in the event of marriage registration. Fathers are granted two days of leave upon the birth of a child. Furthermore, parents of children attending primary school (grades 1 to 4) receive one calendar day of leave on Knowledge Day. These are just some of the benefits provided to university staff.

As an employer, the University has consistently met its target for training and employment over several years and actively promotes this model in the region. It collaborates closely with the “Work of Russia” Center and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection to advance this initiative.
