On the occasion of April 12 and the IX regional festival "Me. Altai. Universe", Altai State University donated a unique exhibit to the Herman Titov Museum of Cosmonautics – a large educational poster featuring Barnaul satellite imagery. The images were captured by the university’s Space Monitoring Center.

"This data was processed in the visible and near infrared spectral channels. The footage shows the results of monitoring fires, flood conditions, and night-time Barnaul. For our part, we hope that such an exhibit will not only tell visitors about our university, about our center, but will also motivate some schoolchildren to enroll in our Institute of Digital Technologies, Electronics and Physics in order to gain unique competencies in working with satellite data and Earth remote sensing technologies," emphasized Nikolai Volkov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, an associate professor, Department of Radiophysics and Theoretical Physics, Altai State University.

The festival was held in the village of Polkovnikovo, the birthplace of Herman Titov, from April 12 to 15. The traditional interregional youth Titov readings (this year themed "17 Cosmic Dawns") took place here. Participants included schoolchildren from junior to senior levels and students from colleges and technical schools across Altai Krai. The jury, which included our scientist Nikolai Volkov, Canidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, an associate professor at the Department of Radiophysics and Theoretical Physics of Altai State University, evaluated 129 astrophysical reports.
