As part of the “Priority 2030” program, Altai State University is launching a unique educational initiative titled "Formation of flexible educational trajectories for students (UGSN 37.05.00, 44.03.00) through additional qualifications (minors)." The author of the idea is Anna Kuzmina, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology, the curator is Evgeniya Zhdanova, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at ASU.

As part of the project, psychology students can receive free training in professional retraining programs. Upon completion, students will receive additional qualifications alongside their primary diploma, enhancing their employment prospects.

Since September, over 200 students from the Department of Clinical Psychology have received additional qualifications as "neuropsychologists", "consultant psychologists", and "psychologists." Thus, this initiative enhances the quality of training of psychologists at ASU, positioning the university as a center for training specialists in psychology with a broad range of in-demand competencies.

In 2025, additional professional modules termed "minors" of "neuropsychologist", "psychologist in law enforcement agencies", "consultant psychologist" will be integrated into the educational programs "Clinical Psychology" and "Psychological and Pedagogical Education."

In addition, within the framework of the “Priority 2030” program, hardware and software systems for automating the processing of electrophysiological and psychophysiological information and biocontrol "BOSLAB" and "BOSLAB - Self-Regulation" have been acquired. These systems are used in medical and psychological rehabilitation, aimed at psychophysiological diagnostics and various forms of biofeedback training.

Previously, students of the direction “Clinical Psychology” completed the additional qualification "Psychological Counseling."

"This program left a positive impression. The material was presented in an accessible and engaging manner, with a focus on practical application. The practical exercises were particularly valuable, enhancing my understanding and enabling to practice key counseling techniques. The instructors were dedicated and responsive, always willing to answer questions and share their experience. This course not only provided me with new knowledge but also inspired my further development, equipped me with many valuable tools for my work," said Ksenia Kostenko, a sixth-year student.

"During the course "Psychology of Law Enforcement Activity" I gained quite a lot of new information as the topics were explored in greater depth than in regular classes. Any problematic issues that arouse were promptly addressed, and feedback was readily available," added another sixth-year student, Ekaterina Gaponenko.
