What training you get
The profession of religious studies assumes organization and implementation of activities aimed at strengthening all-Russian civil identity, preservation of ethno-cultural diversity of Russian peoples, inter-ethnic and inter-regional harmony, social and cultural adaptation and integration of migrants. Detection and prevention of ethnic and religious conflicts as well as counteraction to spreading of extremist ideology and terrorism are equally important. In this regard, Altai State University prepares specialists in religious studies in the field of "Management in the sphere of national and state-confessional relations". Students acquire methods of collecting and analyzing empirical data during their participation in the ethno-archaeological expedition in the Altai Mountains, as well as during administrative practice in the state power bodies, museums, archival institutions, centers of expertise and analysis, tourist companies, scientific and educational institutions.

After you graduate with a degree in Religious Studies, you will have the opportunity to work:
- A civil servant in the structure of federal and regional authorities;
- Consultants to the law enforcement agencies that oversee the activities of religious and ethnic organizations involved in countering the spread of ethnoreligious extremism and terrorism;
