Agromonitoring and sustainable development of territories | Master's Degree Program | Altai State University

The program prepares researchers in the field of changes of natural environment components, global socio-economic shifts. Students are taught to apply modern information technologies of monitoring for assessment of territorial changes, to search for approaches to adaptation to these changes and manage them with the help of GIS-technologies and spatial planning. The program emphasizes agromonitoring in conditions of climate change and "carbon neutrality" policy.

What training you get

An in-depth understanding of geographic processes, predicting and even managing various changes in the external environment. Knowledge of geoinformatics and modern analytical geoinformation techniques allow you to understand the causes of changes in the natural environment, pointing out ways to solve the problems of modern environmental management at the global, regional and local levels.

Geographers can build a career in research centers, create their own environmental engineering and consulting business, become part of ministries and departmental agencies of environmental protection and environmental management or find themselves in the field of environmental management.
