The educational program creates specialists capable of solving problems in the sphere of rational use of natural resources, natural-resource safety, geoecological monitoring, which are necessary today for building an innovative resource-based economy in Altai Krai and Russia. Rational and effective use of natural resources and natural resource potential is one of the main directions of Altai Krai socio-economic development till 2035. On the federal level the priority directions of development of science, technologies and techniques in the Russian Federation include the rational use of natural resources. The issues of nature preservation, improvement of public health and quality of environment become the priority.
