What training you get

A graduate of the program will have sufficient knowledge of economic theory to be able to predict and analyze the consequences of public or company policy decisions.

The concept of the program involves a flexible approach to teaching students, a serious research and project track and a module of interdisciplinary training, as well as internships in leading Russian research and educational centers.

Graduates of the program will receive profound knowledge in macro- and microeconomics, theory of spatial development, which will allow them to conduct modern scientific research, build models of economic processes at the meso and macro levels; they will also master econometric and data management methods at a level sufficient for academic and applied empirical research.

The program may also be of interest to applicants oriented toward a practical rather than an academic career, as in-depth knowledge of economics, spatial development, spatial planning, analytical modeling, and research skills are in demand in the real sector. This program is designed to support students who are actively engaged in research and aim for an academic career in the future.

Macro, microeconomics, economic geography and spatial planning, economics of industry markets, contract theory, game theory, behavioral economics, international trade, international finance, corporate finance, business cycles and macroeconomic policy, economic growth and development, and other disciplines covering key sections of modern economic science.
